The Aching Feeling Of Being Dumped By Your Woman

By Kimberly G. Bradfield

If your girlfriend has ever broken up with you, you know what a terribly painful state of affairs it can be. Of course, all breakups are very emotional and painful but to have things end when they seem to be going strong and steady on the outside just makes the pain ten times worse.

The breakup might have been a spur of the moment thing on your ex's part. Then again, maybe there were a whole lot of clues that you just did not see and you should have expected this.

There is very little you can do right now to get back with you girlfriend, even if you love her and really want things to go back to the way they were.

Have some self-respect and do not put on the desperate act for her. Give her space and do not contact her, rather than trying to reason with her and begging with her to take you back. It will just drive her away further.

Difficult though it may sound, leave her alone for at least two to three weeks if you so desperately want her back. You will be giving her a chance to get on with her life, without any contact with you, and this will eventually let all the good memories come back and the bad memories fade.

Then when you contact her again for the first time after the breakup, this positive state is what you will get.

During this waiting period, try to change yourself for the better so that you can make the best possible impression when you meet her again. With luck, mutual friends will have told her how much you have changed so that she already that you are trying to be a better person.

But most importantly, try to find out why she broke up with you in the first place so you can try to change that part of yourself.
