The Perfect Wedding Planning Guide

By Adriana Noton

A trouble free wedding day is a couples dream regardless of how much money they're rolling out for the big "to-do". In order to have a dream filled day which is problem free as well as entertaining and enchanting, you have to follow a wedding planning guide. No matter how large or small your event is, problems can arise if you're not careful in putting it all together.

Determining a budget right off the bat is the only way you'll be able to get through this with a little sanity in tact. Determine how much you can actually spend out of your own pocket before anything else. If other family members and friends are going to contribute to your special day, knowing what they are willing to give is an added bonus. However it may be a little rude to demand an amount, instead, give them a few price options for the different things they may want to help with.

A valuable bit of knowledge regarding your budget is the fact that most of your money is going directly toward food and venue. With this in mind, you should do your homework on the different places you would like to get married. Two venues may have the same starting cost, but different things included with that cost. It's important to see how far each bit of money will go.

The same is to be said about the caterer, some include basic linens and dishes while others do not. In addition to what they supply, they may also be able to fix a menu which fits into your budget. A big difference in price can come with a buffet style or seated dinner so choose what fits best for you.

Now that you have your budget in place, it's time to pick out your venue and a gown. Many venue's can book out months and months in advance. Find the right place and secure your deposit as soon as possible. The gown is such an important focal point that your theme will envelope and lend to the romantic feel. Remember that gown's can take between three and six months to make unless you pick one from the samples off the rack.

You can relax a little now knowing the location, gown and caterer are taken care of. With the major players booked, it's time to find a photographer, and entertainment. A photographer can make or break the memories of your special day so find one who has recommendations and a good portfolio.

Decorations can come in many colors, styles and themes which all look nice as well as display a bit of the couples personality. Save some money by re-purposing the ceremony decor at the reception. Add a little colorful lighting on the walls and you have a space fit for a princess.

A wedding planning guide is the best way to save yourself valuable time and loads of stress. Just by following these few guidelines, you can save yourself time an money in the long run. Most importantly, enjoy this time and savor every moment you can.
