The role of Wedding MC is often awarded to the best man, although many weddings will have anothe buddy or relative, or even a professional MC in the role. Rather than be the center of attention, the Master of Ceremonies is there to guarantee the marriage reception runs smoothly.

This suggests speaking frequently, making headlines so the wedding guests know what has happened next and where; you are also there to help smooth out any issues on the day as they arise. And due to the nature of the day the guests will need you to make some funny remarks, one liners or anecdotes.

During the reception it is common for the Wedding MC to introduce each stage e. G the entrance of the Bride and Groom, the speakers, telegrams from absent friends and family and cutting the cake; by knowing that the wedding will be structured in a certain way you can prepare the wedding MC jokes for each stage in advance.

Most folks aren't naturally comic, so don't worry if this appears hard initially. But by putting aside some time prior to the marriage you may have a variety of wedding MC jokes and yarns which will completely enhance the day; personal tales work especially well, so long as you don't forget to avoid offence.

By spending a tiny bit of time before the big day learning what has happened and where, at what time and who is concerned, you are going to be able to plan out an inventory of funny comments and other humor to use on the day.

The wedding MC does not need to be the funniest person ever heard as the guests will be relaxed and enjoying themselves anyway.
