Alternative Ways To Wear Celtic Rings

By Adrian Jones

Celtic Rings Set To Create An Innovative Fashion

Celtic rings are normally worn on the finger while white gold bangles delicately encircle a wrist. But they just might be adapted to fill a hole in an ear or dangle elegantly from a lobe.

Before you start to think we have gone entirely mad; we are making reference to the hottest fad to hit high street shops as well as our TV screens. However we do agree there's a fair bit of yuk factor, in contrast to x factor involved.

Extended ear lobes are becoming a more and more common sight, it seems like large holes in the ear is alluring to celebs and non celebs alike. The holes could be teased in order to become big enough to hang Celtic rings along with other pieces of jewelry.

Among those who've just recently shown off their large ear piercings in public are Seb, late of "Masterchef: the Professional" contest and Dougie Poynter of McFly in ITV1's program I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. It isn't just punks, models and rock stars who are getting stretched earlobes. It's growing in acceptance like tattoos along with piercings and becoming more mainstream.

There are a number of ways to stretch ear lobes. You may use the unhurried approach and stretch the skin using different sized tapers at 1mm every month. Or if you truly desire instant big holes you can decide on a dermal punch to literally punch out the tissue. Ouch! There are various awful risks, such as scarring or lobe splitting should you take things too quickly while stretching. if you have to fix deformities in the lobes you'll be considering very expensive surgery.

However, there is nothing new about ear stretching, which dates back hundreds of years. Buddha statues have long ears and tribes in Ethiopia and Thailand have a long tradition of stretched lobes.

Celtic Rings Really Should Be On Your Fingers

For many of us the notion of only a little ear piercing is bad enough. It is a thing that we have endured for fashion's sake. After the initial piecing has ended and the ear has calmed down, that's the end of the hassle or pain.

Maybe it is wiser to keep your Celtic rings for your fingers with your white gold bangles for your wrists. It is certainly less hassle in the end and appears good too.
