Small Budget Wedding Planning Strategies

By Sean T Saunders

Learning how to plan a wedding on a small budget? Then then you better get ready to think outside the box. Not only do weddings on a budget demand intense preparation and exceptional ideas, they call for patience & a large amount of determination. While the determination and patience will be totally your responsibility, those unique money saving ideas you will need can be found below.

3 Sensational Ideas On How To Plan A Wedding On A Small Budget...

1. Don't Be Selfish About Your Dress. A small budget wedding doesn't demand that you wear a potato sack as a wedding gown, but you MUST be realistic. You simply can't purchase a $5000 bridal gown and expect your budget to "balance itself" -- it won't happen. There's simply no reason you can't appear gorgeous inside a used gown (whether it be from mother, grand-mom, an aunt, etc.) or perhaps a rented dress. Just fork out a little money on a seamstress to make certain the dress fits you in style & in shape.

2. Be Frugal With The Flowers. Flowers are lovely, yes. They create a classy & inviting environment for the guests, yes. They are extremely expensive and can take a titanic size slice out of your budget, YES! Having said that, do not go nuts with the flowers. Cut flowers are already costly enough, so stay with those that are IN SEASON & have the lowest price possible. Arrange the flowers yourself to generate even more savings. Believe it or not, there are some whom decide NOT to take the route of the "cut flowers". Instead, these folks get inventive with flowering potted plants and in many cases fruits bowls. Why? Well, because it is cheaper (by far), it's more original, and it's more often than not just as tasteful to boot.

3. Do The Decorating Yourself. An experienced decorator (or wedding consultant) will probably do a fantastic job on your wedding reception decorations. Nevertheless, why on earth should you pay them a huge sum to do something you could just as easily do yourself? Be honest, does that sounds like a "cheap" option to you? I thought not. All you'll need is the right wedding accessories (purchase in bulk) and a few creative wedding party decoration tips (there are plenty online), then all you need to do is prepare and plan. It's MUCH simpler than you think it is, trust me. Knowing how to plan a wedding on a small budget usually means doing more & wasting less, NOT wasting more & doing less -- remember that!

planning a wedding on a small budget doesn't have to be a nightmare experience, and don't let anyone tell you differently. You just need some patience, a "can do" frame of mind, and of course, a little guidance.
