Stars Are Keen On Celtic Wedding Bands

By Adrian Jones

Celtic Wedding Bands - Symbolic Of Everlasting Love

Celtic wedding bands are fashionable and durable tokens of enduring love and unity, Ancient Celtic insignias are loved by megastars too with jewellery from the fabled culture actively playing its part in modern fashionable culture today. Indeed, Celtic wedding bands may very well be worn married with contemporary engagement rings, and frequently are.

Many leaders and celebrities have worn celtic styles on their fingers. Some examples are American president John Kennedy, actresses Jennifer Aniston, Sienna Miller and Julia Roberts, U2 singer Bono and Princess Grace Kelly. Even fictional screen personalities such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer have had their moments. Val Kilmer while playing Jim Morrison in The Doors docu-drama sported a magnificent example of a Celtic Cross. So it's really really common to associate Celtic jewellery items with well-known celebs of one type or another.

Many stars also make the decision to marry in Scotland, that is another reason why Celtic influenced items are extremely popular, as the Celts are identified with Scotland and Ireland. Those who have tied the knot here include Madonna, Stella McCartney, JK Rowling and Robert Carlyle.

Often Celtic concepts see a surge in popularity each time a celebrity is engaged or married and possibly wears a Celtic knot design. The very same trends normally occur in wedding gowns and bridesmaid's dresses.

Sales Of Celtic Wedding Bands Increase

This year the Royal wedding sparked off copycat jewelry designs and gowns. A cowl-neck dress almost identical to Pippa Middleton's royal wedding bridesmaid dress, the original of which was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, has been produced by both Debenhams and Net-a-Porter. These public fashion statements have an effect on weddings across the country.

And like the jewelry fashions, the films influence wedding day clothing too. Fans of the Twilight series can buy a replica of Bella Swan's wedding gown from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Alfred Angelo began working together with Summit Entertainment to replicate the wedding dress in time for the film's official launch. But this concept is of course not new. The company, founded in 1934, also produced reproductions of Elizabeth Taylor's wedding dress from the 1950's Father of the Bride movie.

While Celtic and other ancient style jewelry has been spotted on the big screen, those worn on fingers today are usually contemporary engagement rings or Celtic wedding bands that makes use of the complexity of the art of ancient people, but aren't copies of a whole ring. With Celtic designs you now realise that this is not a fly by night fad, but a design that's been desired for many centuries.
